The Linden Center, Yunnan Provence, SW China

Here are some iPhone photos showing The Linden Center, our home in Xizhou, China for the "Spirit of the Middle Kingdom of China" workshop.

Yunnan Provence is truly one of the most incredible places I have ever been and I made more photos there in SW China than I have anywhere in a long time. Plans are already underway to repeat this workshop next April but it will probably fill fast as several people have already requested space, so let me know if you want me to hold a spot for you. Please consider joining us then for an unforgettable adventure.

To see any of the photos larger click on image but please go to their website to see much better photos than my iPhone snapshots! I will try and post some of my B&W photos made on medium format film as they are available in the coming months...

  2. I was one of the participants on the photo tour to Yunnan with Doug and really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend it to others. Although Doug will most likely be happy that I am back at work now, as I was a bit of a troublemaker for him. But Doug was very patient with me!

There are a lot of wonderful photo opportunities in this part of China. Mark Glasser

  3. I was one of the lucky folks to be on the trip and it was literally the best trip I've ever been on.....photographically, culturally and personally. Doug was great and so were the Lindens. Looking forward to seeing Doug's medium format images. Long live film.....(:

  4. The trip was absolutely incredible, far surpassing any expectations one could have. Doug is a great teacher and leader as always and the Lindens provided unlimited knowledge, passion, and access to a side of China rarely seen - its heart - through direct contact with families and communities living the old ways. For the cultural and photographic opportunity of a lifetime, race to nail your place in the next workshop!
